Josiah Jamison

Josiah Jamison (born August 18, 1982 in the United States ) is an American athlete .

Jamison came into contact with athletics while at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg . Responsible for this were Jack Todd, who worked at this school, and Royal Mitchell , who is now a teammate of Jamison's on the US Paralympic athletics team.

Jamison prefers to run 100 and 200 meter courses. According to his own statements, his strength lies in the 200 m course. In 2008 in Beijing , he won his first Paralympic medal when he crossed the finish line in the T12 class on the 100 m distance ahead of Nigerian Adekunle Adesoji and Chinese Yang Yuqing . He also competed in the 200 m course (T12), the 4x100 m course (T11-T13) and the 400 m course (T12).
