Jost Arens

Jost Arens (born June 20, 1997 in Warendorf ) is a German skateboarder . He is the German runner-up in 2014. He also won the COS Cup in 2017 ahead of his competitors Alex Mizurov, Denny Pham, Benedikt Schmidt and Adrian Hirt and is therefore the current German champion in 2017.

Life

At the age of six, Arens started skateboarding in his native Warendorf. He gained his first competitive experience at the Warendorf skatejam and won the group for the under 16-year-old riders at the age of 12. Jost Arens subsequently took part in numerous competitions and was able to win some of them. In 2011 he won the TITUS Local's only Contest in Münster and thus qualified for the finals in the Europapark in Rust. At the final of the 32 regional champions he was able to prevail and was named TITUS Local of the Year and German Amateur Champion 2011.

With this victory he qualified for the World Cup event Telekom Extreme Playgrounds in Berlin, where he had to compete against the German skate professionals Yannick Schall and Alex Mizurov and in a direct comparison against the Australian professional Shane O'Neill and even won. In the end it was enough for Arens to finish 3rd behind Greg Lutzka (known from the video games Tony Hawk's Pro Skater ) and Manny Santiago also from America who took 2nd place.

Jost Arens is a driver in Team Titus at Titus GmbH. It is sponsored by Titus , Adidas Skateboarding, LRG Clothing, PlayStation 4 and Red Bull .
