Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology , abbreviated J. Chem. Technol. Biot. , is a scientific journal published by Wiley-Verlag . The first issue appeared in 1882, when the journal appeared under the name Journal of the Society of Chemical Industry . In 1951 the name was changed to Journal of Applied Chemistry and the tape count started again. In 1971 the name was expanded to Journal of Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology .
