The Journal of Structural Biology , abbreviated J. Struct. Biol. , Is a scientific journal published by Elsevier-Verlag . The first issue appeared in November 1957 under the name " Journal of Ultrastructure Research ", which the journal kept until 1985. From 1986 to 1989 the name " Journal of Ultrastructure and Molecular Structure Research " was used. The magazine is currently published monthly. Articles are published dealing with structural analysis of living material at every level of organization. In addition to microscopic methods, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and digital image processing are also taken into account.
