Journey South is a two piece pop rock band from Great Britain.

history

It was founded by the two brothers Carl and Andy Pemberton in Middlesbrough . Their breakthrough came in autumn 2005 with third place in the talent show The X Factor , which was produced by the British broadcaster ITV .

The two musicians had already played unsuccessfully in local pubs and clubs for eight years before taking part in the competition. After the television success, they were offered record deals by five labels. Journey South eventually signed with Sony BMG .

In March 2006, the band released their debut album, which immediately hit the top of the UK charts.

In February 2009 the duo announced they were working on their third studio album.
