Joyce (motto: “What inspires women”) is a quarterly Christian women's magazine from the SCM Bundes-Verlag in Witten . With a circulation of 17,000 copies, it is distributed in Germany , Switzerland and Austria . The magazine is available by subscription or in Christian bookshops.

history

Joyce was founded in 2001 by Christel Eggers and Ulrich Eggers with an initial free circulation of 300,000 copies. In 2006 Christel Eggers handed over editorial management to Christina Rosemann. Melanie Carstens followed two years later and is still in charge of the Joyce editorial team.

With issue 4/2009, Joyce experienced a graphic and content redesign. The edition with the new subtitle “What inspires women” was distributed in an edition of 150,000 copies. The editors opened the new start as part of a “Joyce Inspiration Tour”, which led through five cities ( Hamburg , Mühlheim , Glauchau , Schorndorf and Thun ).

In 2011 Joyce celebrated its tenth anniversary and published the small-format special edition “It's nice that you exist” to give away to friends.

content

Joyce is read by women in all walks of life and interests. The 84-page booklet is subdivided into the sub-areas "In every booklet", "Life - Faith - Celebration", "Dossier", "Faith" and "Magazine". The categories “Family Sense”, “Solo Life”, “Job Whisper” and “HeimSpiel” are an integral part of every issue.

Joyce is supported by a freelance editorial team and a forty-strong editorial board.
