Joyce Dingwell
Joyce Dingwell (actually Enid Joyce Owen Starr ; also wrote under the pseudonym Kate Starr ; * 1908 in Ryde City , Australia; † August 2, 1997 in Kincumber, New South Wales, Australia) was an Australian writer. She wrote over 80 romance and family novels that appeared between 1931 and 1986.
She was the first Australian author to live in Australia whose works were published by Milss & Boon . She described how she got into writing:
"My romance writing began with an avid romance-reading mother who devoured so many romances each week that I decide to save library trips by supplementing the supply myself."
"I started writing romance and family novels with a mother who was an avid reader of romantic novels and devoured so many novels every week that I decided to save the trip to the library by doing the replenishment myself."
