Exhibits

The most important exhibit is a Ju 52 / 3m g4e built in 1939 , which was recovered from the bottom of the Norwegian Hartvikvann Lake near Narvik in 1986 by a team from the JU 52 interest group founded for this purpose . After the restoration at the Wunstorf Air Base, it was installed in the hall. The museum also includes a collection of exhibits with a focus on military air transport. A video documentation in the museum shows the recovery of the aircraft and the air transport tasks of the LTG 62.

The LTG 62 and its traditional community set up a traditional corner in the hall and are exhibiting some large objects on the outdoor area next to the hall. Other objects are gifts and permanent loans from private individuals. Among the exhibits in the hall is a Dornier Do 28 D-2 (Skyservant) , with other large exhibits alternating. The role of the Wunstorf Air Base during the Berlin Airlift of 1948/1949 is also discussed. In the outdoor area are a Transall C-160D , a Nord Noratlas N2501, a Piaggio P.149 and two helicopters of the type Mil Mi-8 and Bell UH-1 D.
