Juan Bautista Agüero Sánchez (born June 24, 1935 - December 27, 2018 ) was a football player ( striker ) from Paraguay .
Club career
Juan Bautista Agüero began his career at the Paraguayan capital club Olimpia Asunción . In 1958 he moved to Europe and played for seven years for the Spanish first division club Sevilla FC . He then had a year each with the capital club Real Madrid and Granada CF under contract. In 1967 he ended his career.
National team career
During the Football World Cup in 1958 , Aguero was used in all three Paraguayan games. He scored two hits. In the second game Paraguay met Scotland, in this game Agüero scored the 1-0 opening goal in the fourth minute, finally the game ended 3-2. This was Paraguay's first victory in a world championship. Agüero scored his second goal in the third group game against Yugoslavia. Since this game ended 3: 3, Paraguay, which needed a win, was eliminated from the tournament.
