Juan Carlos Ramírez Abadía (born February 16, 1963 in Palmira , Colombia ) is a Colombian drug dealer .

Abadía, also known as Chupeta and El Patron , is the head of the Norte del Valle cartel , the largest Colombian cocaine cartel. His drug trafficking fortune was estimated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, DEA , at $ 1.8 billion. Under the leadership of the Abadía Norte-del-Valle Cartel in the 1990s that has Cali Cartel of Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela and the Medellin cartel of Pablo Escobar as the largest cocaine replaced exporter worldwide. Abadía was considered the most wanted drug trafficker in the world and was arrested in August 2007. The Supreme Court of Brazil (Supremo Tribunal Federal) upheld his extradition to the United States in a hearing on March 13, 2008. He was convicted on August 22, 2008.
