Juan José Saer

Juan José Saer (born June 28, 1937 in Serodino, Santa Fe Province , † June 11, 2005 in Paris ) was an Argentine writer .

Life

The son of Syrian immigrants studied law and philosophy, was a professor of literature in Argentina and emigrated to France in 1968. In 1988 he received the prestigious Spanish literary prize Premio Nadal for his book "La Ocasion" and the Prix France Culture in France.

His best-known work is the crime novel Investigations , published in Germany in 2005 .
