For family reasons, he then decided to return to CD Godoy Cruz in Argentina . There he worked with great success from 2005 to 2007. He succeeded in advancing with Godoy Cruz, although the club had limited financial resources. In the first Argentine league, the club held up well, but ultimately Llop could not prevent relegation.
