Judith Aron Rubin

Judith Aron Rubin (born September 12, 1936 ) is an American psychoanalyst.

Like Helen B. Landgarten, she is considered one of the leading representatives of art therapy . She is a freelance art therapist and psychoanalyst in Pittsburgh , Clinical Assistant Professor of Child Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, and Honorary Fellow of the American Art Therapy Association.

Works

Judith Aron Rubin received her PhD in 1976. She has published several books, some of which have also been translated into German.

In her work, Art Therapy as Child Therapy , she shows how art therapy can address the needs and needs of children that cannot express them verbally because they are not aware of them or because they lack the linguistic means to do so.

A second work, Directions and Approaches in Art Therapy , brings together contributions from supporters of the most varied of art therapy directions.

A definition of the respective theory is expanded to include the explanation of the relevance of this theory for art therapy. It is always about the diagnostic as well as the therapeutic aspect. The implementation in clinical practice is proven by one or more case studies.
