Judith Paus

Judith Jelena Paus (born August 22, 1991 in Nördlingen ) is a German actress .

Life

Judith Paus grew up in the small town of Nördlingen . When she reached the age of 18, she moved to Munich . In spring 2015 she was discovered by director Klaus Lemke , who gave her a supporting role in his feature film Underwear Lies . The following year she played her first leading role in Making Judith, alongside Lemke ! , for which she was nominated as best young actress at the Munich Film Festival 2017. In the same year she wrote the screenplay for the short film It's Never Too Late for a Beautiful Past… , as well as directing and starring. The drama was shown at various film festivals and won the special award from the Bremen State Media Authority.

This was followed by another leading role in the Lemke film Bad Girl Avenue, which also premiered at the Munich Film Festival 2018 and was then broadcast on ZDF. Paus also presented the Munich Film Festival 2018 alongside television greats such as Thomas Gottschalk as part of the TELE 5 5 Faces campaign . At the same time, she shot the summer film Neue Götter in Maxvorstadt , which premiered at the Munich Film Festival in July 2019. In November she took on a supporting role alongside Jannik Schühmann and Luna Wedler in the bestseller film Dem Horizont so nah . After completing the shooting, the actress moved to the capital Berlin and completed the intensive acting course with Sigrid Andersson there in early 2019 .
