Judith Lennox (actually Judith Elizabeth Lennox-Smith, born January 19, 1953 in Salisbury , Wiltshire , Great Britain ) is a British writer .

Life

Judith Lennox is the daughter of a chemist and a physicist . She studied at Lancaster University , where she met the physicist Iain James Smith, whom she married in 1975. She has three sons with him.

Judith Lennox published her first novel "Reynardine" in 1989. While the plot of her early novels is predominantly set in the 16th and 17th centuries, she increasingly shifted the focus of her representation to Great Britain in the 20th century, with social upheavals in connection with the second World War II are a recurring motif. Most of her books have also been published in German translation.
