Judith Olszowy-Schlanger

Judith Olszowy-Schlanger (* 1967 ) is a French Judaist.

Life

Since 2002 she has been professor of Hebrew and Jewish-Arabic manuscript studies at the École pratique des hautes études , a position she will continue to hold in connection with her appointment at Oxford. From 2010 to 2014 she was also President of the European Association for Jewish Studies. In March 2018 she became the next President of the Oxford Center for Hebrew and Jewish Studies at the University of Oxford . She accepted the appointment on September 1, 2018 and was also elected a Fellow of Corpus Christi College , Oxford . In July 2015, she was elected a corresponding member of the British Academy (FBA).

Her research topics are Hebrew Manuscripts, Hebrew Paleography and Diplomatic, History of Medieval Linguistic Thought, Guenizah of Cairo and Christian Hebrews in the Middle Ages.
