Julia Kallenberg

Julia Kallenberg (born August 30, 1982 ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Kallenberg, who comes from a basketball family, played as a teenager at VfL Waiblingen , and in 1998 she joined the second division at BSG Basket Ludwigsburg. In 2000 she made the leap into the first division with Ludwigsburg. The 1.77-meter-long winger was selected for the U18 and U20 age groups for the German Basketball Federation.

At the beginning of 2003 Kallenberg moved to AC Maverin Parma in the top division of Italy , and after her return to Germany played at TuS Jena. In August 2003 she was on the field for the first time in an A international match and this year played all of her eight appearances for the DBB women selection. This was followed by a detour to CBF Cáceres ( Spain's second division ) from October 2003 to February 2004 , before she returned to Ludwigsburg and rose again to the Bundesliga with the club in the 2003/04 season. In 2006 the relegation took place, the winger then strengthened the Ludwigsburg team in the second division.
