Julia Kunze (* 1976 in Celle ) is a German actress .

biography

Julia Kunze is the daughter of a pediatrician and a biologist. In 1995 she graduated from a Munich high school. From 1997 to 2001 she studied acting at the Bavarian Theater Academy August-Everding , where she was taught by Regine Lutz and Jochen Schölch , among others . While still a student, she played in the Cuvilliestheater and gained her first shooting experience with student films that were made at the HFF Munich and FH Ludwigsburg, including the short film Freier Fall released in 2001 .

After graduating from the academy, she played her first engagement at the Hof Theater from 2001 to 2005 . She made her debut there as Franziska in Lessing's Minna von Barnhelm , directed by M. Blumenthal. This production received the theater award at the Bavarian Theater Days in Erlangen in 2002 . In 2003 the production Gespenster von Ibsen , in which she played the role of Regine, was awarded the theater prize for ensemble and direction at the Theatertage in Hof.

For the 2005–2006 season she was a member of the ensemble of the State Theater Saarbrücken and played and sang in 8 Women by Thomas under the direction of Nada Kokotović , in Men by Wittenbrink.

From 2006 to 2008 she played again at the Theater Hof . Since 2008 she has been living in her hometown Munich again and has been a guest at the Reaktorhalle in Munich with City of the Blind in Saramago in Moritz Schönecker's final stage work. Since then she has also been a guest at the small theater - Kammerspiele Landshut in Der Aussetzer von Hübner (directed by K. Moreth) and in Pornography by Stephens (directed by S. Grunert).
