Julia Muzychenko

Julia Muzychenko (born June 22, 1994 in St. Petersburg ) is a Russian opera singer with a soprano voice .

biography

Training and first appearances

Julia Muzychenko studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory from 2013 to 2018 and attended the Elena Obraztsova St. Petersburg International Music Academy from 2015 to 2016. She made her stage debut there in 2015 at the Mariinsky Theater in the title role of Tarnopolski's "Cinderella". Successes in competitions in 2017 resulted in engagements as Violetta Valéry ( La traviata ) in northern Italy and Tenerife. She has been a member of the Young Ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden since the 2019/2020 season and became known to the German television audience through solo participation in the ZDF Advent Concert 2019 and the Semperopernball 2020.

  • 2017: Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane in Busseto, 1st prize and role debut as Violetta Valéry as a special prize.
  • 2017: Concurso de Canto de Ópera de Tenerife, 1st prize.
  • 2018: Singing competition "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg", 1st prize, audience prize, special prize from the Friends of the Nuremberg State Opera, young talent prize.
  • 2018: 3rd International Éva Marton Singing Competition in Budapest, 3rd prize.
