Julia Rick

Julia Rick (born June 24, 1993 in Hürth ) is a German cable wakeboarder who started wakeboarding in 2009. At the same time she played for the women's soccer team of 1. FC Köln , most recently in the 2nd Bundesliga. After her first international successes in the junior sector in 2012, she decided to pursue a professional career in wakeboarding and against football.

In the following years she developed into the world's most successful wakeboarder thanks to her competitive successes and new tricks. In addition to numerous continental successes, Julia Rick has been world champion several times both at the World Wake Association (WWA) and at the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) recognized by the IOC .

Most recently, Julia Rick defended her title at the WWA World Championship in Cancun, Mexico for the seventh time in a row in 2019 and also won gold at the IWWF World Championship in Buenos Aires (Argentina). She is the title holder of both associations.

She has already confessed more than ten different tricks as the first woman in wakeboard history and more and more are being added. Most recently she landed a Switch Toeside Backside 900 as the first woman in the world.
