Julia Szychowiak

Julia Szychowiak (born April 11, 1986 in Wroclaw ) is a Polish poet .

Life

Szychowiak is the daughter of the writer Małgorzata Szychowiak and studied special education at the University of Wroclaw .

In 2006 Szychowiak won the Połów (Catch) project of the Biuro Literackie publishing house with her poems Poprawiny . These poems were the forerunner of her first volume of poetry Po sobie (2007), for which she was awarded the first Wroclaw Silesius Poetry Prize in 2008 for the debut of the year.

In 2016 she made her debut as a prose writer with the novel Całe życie z moim ojcem .

She lives in Księżyce near Wiązów and in Warsaw .
