Wroclaw Poetry Prize Silesius

The Wroclaw Poetry Prize Silesius ( Polish: Wrocławska Nagroda Poetycka Silesius ; short: WNP Silesius or Silesius ) is a Polish literary award. The Poetry Prize has been awarded by the City of Wroclaw since 2008 and is named after the Wroclaw poet Angelus Silesius .

Categories

The Silesius Poetry Prize is awarded each year in three categories, each with a different endowment. The prize for the entire work is 100,000 zloty , for the book of the year with 50,000 zloty and for the debut of the year with 20,000 zloty.

jury

The seven-member jury is made up of representatives from the Polish literary and university world. For 2018, the jury consists of Andrzej Zawada (chairman since 2016), Grzegorz Jankowicz (2008-2018), Piotr Kępiński , Karol Maliszewski , Adam Poprawa (2008-2018), Tadeusz Sławek (2008-2018) and Justyna Sobolewska (2008 –2018). From 2008 to 2015 Jacek Łukasiewicz was chairman. Former jury members are Przemysław Czapliński (2008–2010), Marian Stala (2008–2010), Piotr Śliwiński (2011–2014).
