Grzegorz Jankowicz

Grzegorz Jankowicz (* 1978 ) is a Polish literary critic and translator .

Life

Jankowicz completed his Polish studies in 2002 and obtained his doctorate in literature in 2011 with the thesis Czy wiersz może być zbawiony? Etyczno-polityczny paradygmat modernizmu w kontekście współczesnych dyskusji filozoficzno-literackich at the Jagiellonian University . He works at the Centrum Studiów Humanistycznych at the Jagiellonian University. He is also the editor of the culture section of the Tygodnik Powszechny newspaper . He edited the series Punkt Krytyczny in the magazine Studium . For the TV channel TVP Kultura he was a co- host of the programs Czytelnia and Poezjem . He gave lectures on Polish literature at Indiana University Bloomington .

Since 2008 he has been a member of the jury for the Silesius Wroclaw Poetry Prize . He has translated works by Ronald Firbank , Georges Perec , Richard Rorty and Slavoj Žižek into Polish.

He lives in Krakow
