TVP Kultura is a Polish cultural television broadcaster of the public television company TVP . The station started on April 24, 2005 and is dedicated to the subjects of art and culture. TVP Kultura is TVP's first themed channel after the discontinued channel Tylko Muzyka and broadcasts a themed evening every day, including the topics of cinema and music. Since 2005, plays from Polish theaters have also been broadcast, for example from the Teatr Ósmego Dnia (Poznan), the Teatr Rozmaitości (Warsaw), the Polish Theater in Wroclaw and the Teatr Wybrzeże ( Danzig ).
In September 2006, TVP Kultura won a Hot Bird TV Award in the Culture and Education category.
The station can be received via the digital Polish pay TV platforms nc + and Cyfrowy Polsat as well as via cable and unencrypted via Hot Bird and Eutelsat W3A . At the end of 2014, the broadcast via Astra was stopped.
