Career

Julien François began playing football at the FC Metz youth academy . In 1998 he was pulled up to the second team. After only one year he came directly to the professional team, which at that time played in the first division of France. There François could not fight for a regular place, which is why he was awarded to the lower class club Gazélec FCO Ajaccio for the 2000/01 season . There François fought for a regular place and came to 31 missions. After the loan contract expired, François came back to FC Metz for the 2001/02 season, where he was again denied a regular place this time. With the Metzern, he also descended from the first class in 2002. In the same year, François ended the chapter "FC Metz" entirely and joined league rivals Grenoble Foot . In Grenoble he became a regular player and top performer. In his first year he came on 26 missions. Here he contributed five hits. In his second year, however, he came to 32 missions, this time only two hits. In the two years that followed, François made a total of 64 appearances and scored four goals.

In 2006 he returned to FC Metz, which had previously been relegated from the first division. This time the native of Metz became a regular player and top performer. François scored two goals in 30 second division appearances. In the end you could celebrate the direct resurgence. François made his Ligue 1 debut on August 12, 2007 when he was in the starting eleven on matchday one against Lille OSC . During the season he came to another 32 first division appearances, where he was also able to mark a hit. In the end, however, was the direct relegation. After eleven appearances in the second division in the first half of the following season, François moved to Tours FC during the winter break of the 2008/09 season . After more than a year and 52 appearances, François moved to AC Le Havre for the 2010/11 season , where he made 32 appearances and one goal in his first year.
