Julio César Pinheiro García (born August 22, 1976 in Itapeva ) is a former Brazilian football player.

Career

Start of his career (1996 to 2000)

The 1.75 meter tall midfielder began his career in the 1996/97 season with Celaya FC , where he was under contract for two years. After two years in Mexico , he signed a parallel contract with the Spanish club CD Logroñés in the 1997/98 season , where he played 16 goalless games. In the 1998/99 season Pinheiro returned to Celaya. He stayed there until the turn of the millennium.

CD Cruz Azul (2000 to 2003)

After five years at the club Julio signed a contract with the Mexican club CD Cruz Azul , with which he was under contract for three seasons. In the 2001/02 season he played 18 games and scored three goals. In the following season he made 23 league games and again three goals.

Remaining career (from 2004)

In the 2003/04 season Pinheiro signed a contract with the Spanish club CA Osasuna , in which he completed six goalless league games. At the club Atlas Guadalajara from Mexico he was in the following for 14 league games on the field and scored two goals. In 2005 he signed a contract with AA Ponte Preta . In the 2005/06 season he signed two contracts with the Mexican clubs CF Monterrey and UNAM Pumas , in which he played a total of 33 league games, but all remained goalless. In 2006 Julio moved to the Japanese club Kyōto Sanga , where he ended his active career after the end of the season.
