The initiative to found the Julius Otto Bund dates back to December 1875. The foundation day of the Julius Otto Association is December 30, 1875. The Julius Otto Association succeeded the General Dresden Singers' Association in Dresden, which was dissolved on October 4, 1876 when the Julius Otto Association was founded .
