Julius August Bewer
Julius August Bewer (born August 28, 1877 in Ratingen , † September 1, 1953 in New York City ) was a German Protestant theologian .
Life
He went to the USA in 1895 and studied at Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York , Basel , Halle an der Saale and Berlin . He taught as a professor of the Old Testament and Semitic Philology from 1902 and was a member of the Revision Committee of the American Standard Version of the Bible from 1937 to 1953 .
