Jun Chen is an American astronomer of Chinese descent. She graduated from Peking University with a bachelor's degree in 1990 and received her doctorate in 1997 from the University of Hawaii .

Together with David C. Jewitt , Jane Luu and Chad Trujillo , she discovered a total of 11 asteroids in the Kuiper Belt between 1994 and 1997 .
