Young Pioneers is a group of figures by the sculptor Kurt Loose , which he created from 1953 to 1954. The free-standing sculpture made of sandstone is located in Dresden in the Grunaer street in front of the doorway to house number 41 and is a cultural monument. The group of figures of three young pioneers is life-size and 1.85 m high with a base.

On November 19, 1953, Loose had submitted the draft to a pioneer group. This draft was rejected. In December 1953, it was demanded that Loose should further develop the group of figures, whereby above all the "urban planning requirements regarding the location" should be included.

The group of figures from all angles is located in front of the eastern section of the row of buildings on Grunaer Straße. The naturalistic figures are equipped with a kerchief and a torch of knowledge. The group consists of two boys and a girl in the clothes of the pioneers, who are arranged back to back around a vertical axis and move in a clockwise direction. The torchbearer forms the main view. His body points to Grunaer Strasse. He lifts his knee and took a step forward. The other boy is holding a book in one hand. He is holding foliage in the other hand .
