Young chef

The young chef , or commis de cuisine in French , is the first level of employment after completing professional training as a chef .

In this position , he has the opportunity to work in the various areas of the kitchen and thus gain further experience.

He reports directly to the head of the post (Chef de Partie) and his deputy (Demi Chef de Partie), i.e. the heads of the kitchen area in which he works, and of course the chef (Chef de Cuisine) and his deputy (Sous Chef). He can independently manage the area assigned to him and train trainees. In addition to this managerial responsibility, he is also responsible for assigned subtasks in other kitchen areas.
