Innovations

JUCENTER machine

JUNKER has been shaping grinding technology with patented processes and innovative technologies since 1962. A few years after the company was founded, JUNKER brought a world first to the market with the first fully automatic flute grinding machine for taps. In 1978, JUNKER laid the foundation for later developments with the introduction of CBN high-speed grinding machines. In the mid-1980s, the company opened up the automotive industry with pioneering inventions. For example, JUNKER invented the Quickpoint machine in 1984. With the new point grinding, all possible contours could be realized in just one clamping. The computer-controlled grinding wheel follows the programmed contour with pinpoint accuracy and processes almost any material from plastic to hard metal. In 2003, JUNKER launched the first CBN high-performance grinding machine for the complete machining of crankshafts in one clamping (machine type: JUCRANK). Another milestone was achieved in 2008 with the JUCENTER machine. The CBN high-performance grinding machine combines two stations (additional processing options) under one hood.
