Juozas Žilys

Juozas Žilys (born September 7, 1942 in Jurbarkas ) is a Lithuanian constitutional lawyer and professor at the Mykolas-Romer University .

education

After graduating from secondary school, Juozas Žilys graduated from the Law Faculty of Vilnius University in 1967 with a degree in law . From 1990 he worked as the head of the legal department in the Supreme Soviet. From 1993 to 1999 he was a judge and court president of the Constitutional Court . He then did his doctorate at the Law Faculty of the Law Academy of Lithuania and worked as a lecturer, from 1999 lecturer, from 2000 dean and professor.

His courses at Mykolas Romeris University are courses in Lithuanian Constitutional Law and Constitutional Disputes Law. His research areas are the history of constitutionalism and constitutional justice . Juozas Žilys is the author of more than 60 scientific articles and speaker at international and national conferences.
