Juozas Sperauskas

Juozas Sperauskas (born March 14, 1957 in the Rajongemeinde Šakiai ) is a Lithuanian politician, mayor of Joniškis .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1974 in Plokščiai near Šakiai , Juozas Sperauskas graduated in 1979 with a degree in medicine from the Vilniaus universitetas in Vilnius . From 1990 to 1997, Sperauskas was a member of the council of the Joniškis district community . In 1990 he was selected as a Sąjūdis candidate in Statybininkų No. 5 constituency . He then became the council chairman of the community. From 1995 to 1997 he was the mayor of the Rajongemeinde . Then he worked as the deputy director and head of the general affairs department of the Mažeikiai Rajong Municipality administration .

From 1993 to 1999, Sperauskas was a member of Tėvynės sąjunga (Lietuvos konservatoriai).

Sperauskas is married and has two children. His wife is a doctor.
