Jupiter Lander is a computer game that was developed by the American company HAL Labs and published by the computer manufacturer Commodore . Versions for the computers Commodore Max , VC-20 (1981) and C-64 (1982) were created. The game retailed in America in 1982 for a list price of $ 29.95 , about $ 79 by today's prices.
All versions of the game were released as cartridges for each computer. The gameplay and the presentation were closely based on the game Lunar Lander (1979) by Commodore competitor Atari .
game
The game is a simple simulation of a spaceship landing on a planet (named after Jupiter ). The player has to control the spaceship with the control buttons on the computer. He starts the rockets of the spaceship and thereby slows down the fall on the planet through the force of attraction with the recoil of the engines.
At the same time, he has to use the right / left keys to steer the spaceship so that it lands at a convenient point on the planet.
