Jure Ramovš only took part in international tobogganing competitions in winter 2007/2008. On February 3, 2008, he competed in an intercontinental cup race in St. Lorenzen , where he finished twelfth in his junior 1 age group and 31st place overall. At the end of the month Ramovš, who started for the SD Domel Železniki, took part in the two World Cup races in Železniki . There he achieved places 26 and 28, leaving up to six, in some cases more experienced, World Cup starters behind. In the overall World Cup of the 2007/2008 season , he finished 40th. In national competitions he achieved several victories and podium places in his age group in 2007 and 2008. In the summer, Jure Ramovš also took part in roller luge competitions.
