Juri Steinhart (born June 11, 1980 in Bern ) is a Swiss screenwriter and director of feature films as well as the designer / director of commercials.

life and work

Juri Steinhart grew up in Bern. His mother was a flight attendant, his father an architect. From 1998 he attended acting classes at the Bern Conservatory . From 2001 to 2009 he worked as a production assistant for cinema and television productions in the area of ​​assistant director and recording manager. From 2004 to 2005 he studied video at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences . From 2005 to 2008 he completed the film course at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Juri Steinhart graduated with honors.

Juri Steinhart develops fabrics for cinema and TV. He likes to provoke with innovative narrative forms and satirical content such as the avant-garde and controversial trash mockumentary series Experiment Schneuwly on Swiss television . His feature film debut Let the old ones die is a tragic comic film about young people gasping for air in a world made of cotton candy.
