List of rose varieties

The Just Joey rose variety (also synonymous 'Just Joeye') was bred by the English rose breeder Clifford Pawsey and introduced by Cants of Colchester in 1972. This hybrid tea was created by crossing ' Duftwolke ' × ' Dr. AJ Verhage '.

'Just Joey' is about 1 meter high. It is suitable for bedding and border planting and also holds up well as a cut rose . In colder areas, it needs winter protection ( USDA zone 7-10 ). The leaves are shiny leathery. 'Just Joey' is permanent flowering . The flowers are well filled and have a very lovely smell. The orange-colored petals with reddish veins on the edge have attractive wavy edges.

The variety was awarded the James Mason Medal in 1986 and the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit in 1993. In 1994, she was supported by the World Federation of Rose Societies (World Rose Association) for the World Rose voted - the highest award for a rose variety.

It was named after Josephine (Joey) Pawsey, the wife of the breeder's son: since the name was "ugly", it was finally abbreviated.
