Duftwolke even 'Fragrant Cloud' or 'Nuage Parfumé', is a culture Rose and was designed by jun Mathias Tantau. (D) Introduced in 1963. It is a descendant of 'Prima ballerina' and has become one of the most common tea hybrids .
Properties and use
Its dark red buds are elegantly shaped, they bloom in coral red and smell fruity and intense. The flowers, which occur throughout the season, reach a diameter of about 13 cm. They usually grow in clusters of 3 to 7 flowers, have rather short stems, but keep well in the vase.
'Fragrance Cloud' has robust, shiny foliage and quickly grows up to 150 cm high. It is a modern rose, is often traded as hybrid tea and is usually kept in group plantings or in pots. It is offered as a semi-stem rose and stem rose, is frost hardy to −15 ° C ( USDA zone 7b ), tolerates partial shade, but is somewhat susceptible to powdery mildew.
'Duftwolke' is a rose known worldwide and an important parent variety for other breeds.
