Just for Fun Street Theater Festival is an international street theater festival in Darmstadt .

history

The first street theater festival in Darmstadt took place in 1994, initiated by Iris Daßler and Rainer Bauer. Since then, over 120,000 spectators have attended the performances of 250 artists. The festival uses the public space in parks and squares ( Herrngarten , Riegerplatz , Johannesplatz, Platz in front of the White Tower , Ludwigsplatz, Marktplatz ) as a stage. There is no entrance fee. Every year the festival is visited by around 5000 spectators on the four days of the event.

The festival is organized by the Kw8-Werkstatt für Theater und Kultur eV

In 2018 the festival took place for the 25th time from August 8th to 11th.
