Kaunas Palace of Justice
The Kaunas Palace of Justice ( lit.Kauno teismo rūmai ) is a judicial building in Kaunas , Lithuania . The palace is located on Adomas Mickevičius Street, in the city center. The Kaunas District Administrative Court (KAAT) and the Kaunas District Court (KAT) are located in the palace . There are a total of 19 halls (14 in the KAT and 5 in the KAAT).
history
The courthouse was built instead of the “Senasis trestas” cinema theater. This was dismantled in summer 2006. The architect of the Palace of Justice was Arvydas Akelis, project manager in the architectural office and company UAB “Dalis erdvės”. The building was built by UAB “Vėtrūna”. The construction costs amounted to 10 million euros. The palace was opened in November 2008.
