Jutulhogget

Jutulhogget is a 2.4 km long canyon in the municipalities of Alvdal and Rendalen in Norway . It was created in the last ice age when a reservoir erupted under the ice and a new watercourse was created eastwards through loose debris.

There are many legends about how the canyon was formed. The best known is about the enmity between the two giants Rendalsjutulen and Alvdalsjutulen .
