The Maisel-Bräu or Brauerei Maisel was a brewery in Bamberg in Upper Franconia .

history

It was founded in 1894 by the brothers Rudolf and Thomas Maisel. With an output of up to 100,000 hectoliters (end of the 20th century) per year, it was the second largest brewery in Bamberg. The brewery remained in the possession of the Maisel family until 2000.

On June 16, 2008, the bankruptcy proceedings were opened by a decision of the Bamberg District Court . The Coburg lawyer and tax advisor Linse was appointed as insolvency administrator . In August 2008, all of the brewery's properties were sold.

Products

In the brewery, a pils , a light beer , a light beer , a dark beer called St. Michaelsberg, a premium lager , a cellar beer , another dark beer and a dark and a light wheat beer were brewed.
