The listed, old town hall of Quadrath-Ichendorf is located in Cologne-Aachener-Strasse 81 in the Quadrath-Ichendorf district, one of the 15 districts of the district town of Bergheim in the Rhein-Erft district .

History and architecture

It should contain the apartment for the police officer stationed there, a room for the registration office and a meeting room for the town council of Quadrath-Ichendorf. On November 9, 1910, the Bergheim mayor's council decided to build a so-called “community hall” in Quadrath. The building was constructed in 1911. The architect, Anton Ruland, was hired. On June 12, 1912, the first meeting of the municipal council took place. Its character as a public building can still be seen from the clock in the roof gable and the bell above it. In the past, the bell was always rung when official news had to be announced, for example a legal change. The two-storey brick building has pink plastering and a mansard roof. The entrance, which can be reached via a staircase, still has the original door leaf, which is framed by flanking pilasters. The segment-shaped skylight and the small gable as roofing also date back to 1911. The facade, symmetrically structured by windows and doors, has a gable.

Todays use

In 1997 the property was completely renovated and is now used as a residential and commercial building.
