The König + Neurath AG is a manufacturer of office furniture, seating and room systems, based in Karben (Hessen).
history
In 1925 Heinrich Neurath founded a company for the production of office furniture in Karben. In 1930 Heinrich König, Heinrich Neurath's son-in-law, joined the company and the name König + Neurath was born. In 1947 Egon König, Heinrich König's son and today's owner, joined his father's company. In 1978 the pioneer Heinrich König resigned and his son Egon König became the sole owner of the company. The first European sales partnerships were started in 1982 with the opening of two offices in London and Lijnden near Amsterdam. In 1996 König + Neurath AG was converted into a non-listed stock corporation. In August 2007, the owner Egon König moved to the company's supervisory board. Egon König died on May 15, 2019 at the age of 86.
The enterprise
König + Neurath is one of the top-selling German office furniture brands with around 1000 employees and produces exclusively at its headquarters in Karben. The family company has six national showrooms in Karben, Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Böblingen and Munich as well as international branches in France (Paris), England (London), Austria (Vienna), Switzerland and the Netherlands (Amsterdam). The production site in Weißensee (Thuringia) , which opened in 1992, was closed in 2014.
Products
König + Neurath AG appears on the market as an international full-range supplier of office furniture, seating furniture and room systems. The company's products include office tables, seating, management and conference furniture, storage space systems, modular room partitioning systems, glass partition wall systems, room-in-room systems and the equipment for communication and reception areas.
