The Royal High School (since 1911 Royal High School plus Realschule i. E .; since 1921 State Gymnasium plus Realschule i. E. ) was a school in Danzig from 1876 to 1945.

history

In 1876 the Royal High School was founded as a second higher school next to the Municipal High School . The first location was Langgarten 14. In 1881 the building Weidengasse 1 (today ulica Łąkowa 1) was occupied.

In 1911 the name was transferred to the Königliches Gymnasium and Realschule i. E. changed, in 1921 in state high school together with Realschule i. E. in the Free City of Danzig.

In 1901 there were 550 students, in 1904 and 1905/06 there were 16 classes and three preparatory classes each.

The Gdansk Music Academy has been located in the building since 1998 .
