The Körber AG , based in Hamburg is a strategic management holding company which, Logistics Systems leads the group with five business divisions Körber Digital, pharmaceutical systems, tissue and tobacco. The group unites companies with more than 100 production, service and sales companies. With around 10,000 employees worldwide, the Körber Group achieved sales of 2.5 billion euros in 2018.

history

The origins of the company go back to the Hauni machine factory founded by Kurt A. Körber in Hamburg in 1946 . The company founder was the sole owner of Körber AG until his death in 1992. After his death - as the childless entrepreneur had already decreed in 1969 - Körber AG was completely owned by the non-profit Körber Foundation that he set up and which receives part of the group’s profits as a dividend every year.

Group structure

The group consists of five business areas, each managed by a management or holding company:

  • The Körber Digital Business Area works strategically for the digitization of the Group.
  • The Logistics Systems division is a provider of fully integrated applications for optimizing complex internal and external logistics processes and consists of the companies Aberle and Consoveyo (system integration), Langhammer and Riantics (product solutions) as well as Aberle Software, Cirrus Logistics, DMLogic, HighJump, Inconso and Voiteq ( Software).
  • The Pharma Systems business area offers solutions for the manufacture, inspection and packaging of pharmaceutical products as well as for the traceability of pharmaceuticals and unites the companies Dividella, Fargo Automation, Mediseal, Rondo, Seidenader, Systec & Services and Werum IT Solutions as well as the company brand Traxeed under one roof with production sites in Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and the USA.
  • The Tissue business area stands for technologies and complete solutions for machine and system technology for processing and packaging toilet paper and kitchen rolls.
  • As part of the Körber Group, Hauni and the Hauni network are suppliers of solutions for the international tobacco industry. The companies Hauni , Borgwaldt, Borgwaldt Flavor, Decouflé, Garbuio and Sodim support customers in the fields of tobacco processing, filter and cigarette production as well as quality measurement and flavor development. Their portfolio includes technologies and services.
