Kōichi Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 耕 一 , Satō Kōichi ; born September 21, 1931 ) is a former Japanese skier who was active in Nordic combined and ski jumping .

Career

Satō started at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo in ski jumping as well as in combination. In the special jumpers he landed on the normal hill after jumps on 68 and 66 meters in 36th place. In the Gundersen singles of the Nordic Combined he was 23rd after jumping, but fell back to 35th place in cross-country skiing over 18 km.

At the Japanese Championships in 1959 in Ōwani he won the individual title on the normal hill.

At the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley , Satō only started with the special jumpers. He achieved 22nd place on the normal hill.
