Kōji Matsuura ( Japanese 松浦 宏 治 Matsuura Kōji ; * May 5, 1980 in Hyōgo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Matsuura learned to play football on the school team at Mihara High School and the university team at Hannan University . He signed his first contract in 2003 with the Sanfrecce Hiroshima . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2003 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League . For the club he completed five league games. In 2005 he moved to the second division club Vegalta Sendai . For the club he completed 13 league games. In 2006 he moved to league rivals Tokyo Verdy . He played two league games for the club. In October 2006 he switched toFagiano Okayama . In 2007 he moved to the second division Thespa Kusatsu . For the club he completed 40 league games. At the end of 2007 he ended his career as a football player.
