K-Lite 2.7

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

K-Lite is a Kazaa-Lite variant , i.e. an unofficial version of the file sharing program Kazaa Media Desktop (KMD), and, like this, serves to exchange files via the FastTrack protocol.

K-Lite is an additional program that is installed with KMD, so that the program is expanded with additional functions, but advertising and software from third-party providers ( malware ) of the original KMD are not installed. Alternative versions install the necessary KMD files and thus simplify setup.

Functions

The software includes all options of the older Kazaa Lite K ++ , such as B. a constant participation level of 1000 (maximum) to reduce the time in queue for a download, preview of films while the download is still in progress, magnet links and no bitrate limit. In addition, K-Lite includes a “Fake Analyzer”, which makes it possible to distinguish corrupted files from the original, a tab search that allows you to search for several terms at the same time, download accelerators, automatic search for additional search results and sources and an IP blocker (e.g. to prevent use by the RIAA ). With the "KaZuperNodes" extension you can choose between the nodes with which a connection is established.

The software is based on the program core version 2.7 (current: 2.7.2a; June 2007).
